Admission to this degree program will require the candidates to have (1) received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California or from another college or university of approved standing and compliance with other such requirements regarding preparation for graduate study as may be prescribed by the Faculty of the Graduate Group in Development Engineering, and (2) evidence of high quality academic and professional work.
- Degree Requirements
The Degree of Master of Development Engineering (M.DevEng) will be granted under the following conditions:
- completion of three semesters of course work as specified by the Graduate Group in Development Engineering and approved by the Graduate Council, including a minimum of two semesters in residence at the University of California, Berkeley;
- completion of at least 36 units as specified by the Graduate Group in Development Engineering, including a minimum of 18 units in graduate course work;
- completion of a comprehensive oral exam (Plan II) to be prepared in accordance with the M.DevEng Curriculum Committee and Graduate Group in Development Engineering and with the rules of the Graduate Council; and
- maintenance of a minimum average grade of B. No course in which a grade lower than C- is assigned may be counted toward the requirements for the degree.
