The Degree of Master of Information Management and Systems (M.I.M.S.) shall be granted under the following conditions. The candidate must have:
- Fulfilled the requirements for admission in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 850.
- Completed a two-year program of graduate study, or the equivalent, as specified by the Faculty of the School. This program will consist of graduate and upper division courses in the School and related departments of the University, which are designated to develop knowledge and skills in the methods and substance of information management and systems.
- Completed, with an average grade of B or higher, the approved number of courses required by the Faculty of the School. In exceptional cases, credit obtained for comparable work indicating superior scholarship in a graduate school other than that of the University of California may, with the approval of the Faculty of the School and the Graduate Council of the Berkeley Division, be accepted to the extent of not more than four units toward fulfilling the minimum requirements for the degree.
- Completed a final project prepared in accordance with the rules of the Graduate Council under the conditions as stated by the Faculty of the School of Information.
